                                                                                                                                           O         n April 8,  Kickstarter, the crowdfunding platform, un-

                                                                                                                                                     veiled a project called “Brewing Guide”, a card deck that
                                                                                                                                                     records 48 recipes. As the first of its kind that matches
                                                                                                                                                     various coffee equipment, the Brewing Guide enables
                                                                                                                                           users to enjoy a different cup of coffee at home. The secret recipes
                                                                                                                                           are contributed by world champions, coffee bloggers, industry insiders
                                                                                                                                           and coffee lovers, who share the same name in this case – I’M NOT A
                                                                                                                                           BARISTA (IMNAB).

                                                                                                                                           Rekindle in a Professional Stance

                                                                                                                                               Micky Wang’s journey in the coffee industry began when he
                                                                                                                                           studied business in Denmark when we was about 18. Inspired by the
                                                                                                                                           European culture, he volunteered in many NPOs, which shaped his own
                                                                                                                                           definition for personal success. He came to believe success should be
                                                                                                                                           more than just earning one’s daily bread and chasing dreams; it should
                                                                                                                                           also include helping others where it’s within one’s power. Back in Jan-
                                                                                                                                           uary 2020, when the pandemic had not taken hold, Micky decided it
                                                                                                                                           was time to make a change. He remembered seeing a T-Shirt with the
                                                                                                                                           words “I’m Not A Barista”. He thought this slogan would be amusing to
                                                                                                                                           a coffee insider and an idea started taking shape. To bring it to life, he
                                                                                                                                           quit his job as marketing director with Bubble Lab, moved from Beijing
                                                                                                                                           to Moscow and founded IMNAB.
