Size used to matter when it comes
to food portion in USA, but now the trend
is shifting as people are paying more at-
tention to their heath. As a result, most
cafes around Manhattan have switched to
organic produces and healthy homemade
food. Greecologies is one of the cafes and it
humbly boasts a simple, yet effective con-
cept of organic coffee and fresh homemade
yoghurt where customers get a chance to
watch the preparation steps.
The huge front windows allow a
clear visual of the shop interior. Coupled
the clear glass windows with light colour
décor, marble surfaces, and white wall and
floor, the shop looks lively and bright! Just
take a seat on the oversized sofa at the
bright and spacious front hall, and you’ll
feel right at home!
Similar to its commitment to quality
organic food and beverage, the design fo-
cuses on natural materials which emphasize
the shop’s concept. The stylish rock shelf
is a great example of the level of attention
to detail Greecologies has. Lighting is done
thoughtfully, for example, lights around
coarse surfaces are hidden behind a shelf
to highlight the surfaces.
The narrow hallway isn’t just a
hallway. The left wall is lined with glass
windows which look through to the yo-
ghurt producing area, making it the front
row seat to see the magic behind Greecolo-
gies’ signature yoghurt.
The layout cleverly maximizes the
space usage with high stool in the front
and a bar along the walls. At the end of the
hallway is a spacious area set up for larger
group of customers. There’s a cozy outdoor
garden with natural material outdoor fur-
niture at the back is a pleasant surprise as
it’s a rare opportunity to be able to sip a
cup of coffee in a cozy garden in the heart
of the bustling Manhattan.
