Document Coffee Bar (www.documentcoffeebar.com)
Pretty well hidden cafe and tea house in the western part of Korean town. The
owner is also a Korean, yay! Really appreciated the variations of Korean tea they had.
Indoors, it has one very long table right down the middle with bar seating around and
a few tables also. The Document Brew is surprisingly delicious. I got an americano
which was good. Not bitterness and smooth, just to my liking. The Document Cold
Brew is also very fantastic. Maple syrup is also available, which gives the cold brew a
lovely touch. The lighting is awesome and bright, and the decor is sleek yet comfort-
ing in that you feel relaxed and at home. It was also funny how they put the home use
basket covers they have on their lamps which is pretty random. Neat little cafe. They
have their cool way of brewing their coffee on the tea stand, which gives it a pretty
Asian hip, a must try indeed.
Go get em tiger (www.ggetla.com)
Let us now visit The Big Western Barista Champion 2014, Charles
Babinski from Go Get Em Tiger cafe. It is a small spot, with seating primar-
ily for small groups or pairs of people. Vibrant and clean. Lots of daylight
illuminating the shop, which provides a welcoming atmosphere for any
first-timer. Their wall of goodies consist of lots of coffee brewing materi-
als, GGET gear, coffee books, and a variety of coffee roasts from differ-
ent roasters all over the US. The food is also great, with wide selection
of healthy menus, i chose the Churro Waffle: Exactly like it sounds. The
chocolate dipping sauce was also divine. The slightly bitter goodness went
perfectly with my cappuccino. I ordered a cappuccino, and was delighted
to see it being made by the first place winner of the Big Western Barista
Competition 2014. A well made cup, with a solid espresso, perfect to sip
while writing article! He was also kind enough to note down the recom-
mended must visit cafes for us to write about!
