“WE PRINT GOOD STUFF ABOUT COFFEE.” FROM THE EDITORS

Welcome to the next issue of Coffee t&i Magazine! In this edition, we are exploring the
fascinating world of coffee and its relationship with popularity.
Together, we will look at the role of “popularity” in shaping what we drink and how quick-
ly new things become popular. How do these new trends disrupt the existing order of things? We
will also investigate the balance between popularity and order as well as discuss how coffee con-
               tinues to evolve.
In our cover story, we look at how celebrity worship has become a powerful force within
the industry, and the role it can play in driving innovation. We examine how World Coffee Events
have become integral to promoting specialty coffee trends, we ask whether specialty coffee is a
trend or not, and what the implications are for the industry.
In our design column, we explore the incredible work of Chang Sihong and his internet-fa-
mous shop: The Burrow. How did he create a communal space that people could enjoy?
We also look at how two brothers – Boram and Garam Um – have made their mark on the
industry by excelling in their respective fields, as well as how Justin Piercy blends content creation
               with fatherhood to great effect.
We also feature an opinion column on farm labor due diligence approaches. In this piece,
