                                                             or dreamy to attract young “gluttons”, each shop has an entire wall to
                                                             display different flavors, usually somewhere between 20 and 30 options.

                                 L         et’s have ice cream! You can hear this a lot in Argentinian family and friend

                                           parties. After you finish your main course in a local restaurant, the waiter
                                           may also ask “HELADO? Would you like ice cream?” For delicacies in the
                                           so-called World’s End, the first thing that comes to your mind may be the
                                 juicy grilled meat or the mellow Malbec wine, after which may come the ice cream. In
                                 fact, Argentinians have a particular sweet tooth and are especially fond of ice cream. In
                                 hot summer, long queues outside ice cream shops are everywhere. Even in cold winter,
                                 ice cream lovers can’t put the dessert down. Some surveys show that Argentinians con-
                                 sume  seven  kilos  of  ice  cream  per  capita  per  year,  with  80%  consuming  artisanal  ice
                                 cream regularly and 27% all year round. Ice cream is essential after dinner, and locals
                                 are used to stocking up a lot to enjoy later. Moreover, when you visit your relatives or
                                 friends, a large box of artisanal ice cream is a gift that could never go wrong.
