Cold-brewed Tea
the Summer Tea
Hot summer seems to make every drop of water evaporate. We are not
patient enough to make a hot tea and wait it to cool down. Our bodies ask
for a big cup of cold water to ease the heat. At this moment, cold-brew tea is
what you need to make your summer even better.
Cold-brew tea is becoming more and more popular, the idea might
come from cold-brew coffee or ice drip coffee.
One day I was sitting in my favorite café and
a glass vessel with a wooden shelf appeared on
the bar. Waiters told me it was their new drink
– ice drip coffee. The principle is to put some
ice on top of grinded coffee powder and let the
melting ice extract the coffee slowly. This way
of making ice drip coffee eliminates a little
sour and bitter taste and enhances its pure
fragrance and smooth mouth feel. It was last
summer that I learnt about cold-brew tea, in a
teahouse with no air-condition but an air fan.
The hostess said, people can cool down while
drinking cold-brew tea.
