Spice up your gelato experience

When we think of pepper, the name “Hand Brand
No.1” is one of the first brands that immediately pop up in
our mind. The brand might be well-known, but its history is
known to only a few. Founded in 1948, “Nguan Soon” began
as a humble spice store in Yaowarat, Bangkok’s China town.
Artchit Limprana, the founder, focused the business on produc-
ing and marketing 100% ground peppers and spices under the
brand “Hand Brand No.1”. The brand soon became the go-to
brand when it comes to peppers and spices in both domestic
and international markets. Continuing the legacy of the brand,
Wipaporn Limprana added excitement to the market with her
own delicious invention of “Spice Gelato” for to those who love
to try something different.
“Nguan Soon’s Hand Brand No.1 Peppers began over
60 years ago, and now we are trying to find a way to take our
products overseas. We have modernized the brand and a lot
of people knows Hand Brand No.1. Moreover, since the name
Nguan Soon may be difficult for foreigners to remember and
doesn’t directly reflect spices, we have established a new brand
called Spice Story.”
