A Quality Aussie Coffee
Founded in Australia 1989 and recently cel-
ebrated its 25th anniversary, The Coffee Club started
from its first store in Brisbane to 300 branches across
the country. The chain also reaches out to New Zea-
land, China, Egypt, Dubai, Bali, and Thailand. With 17
branches in Thailand, The Coffee Club offers 3 different
shop concepts. The first concept is a full service restau-
as well as coffee and a variety of beverages. The second “ Even with great coffee beans, unskilled
rant that serves a range of breakfast, lunch, and dinner,
is a café with the menu offerings reduced by 60% and the barista cannot create good coffee ”

order at the counter. The third is a counter service where
customer order at the counter and wait to pick it up.

Coffee Club is well-known to Australians. Minor Food
Group decided to bring the brand to Thailand because
the brand’s experience and knowledge can add some-
thing to the company. The coffee market in Thailand
has grown a lot and consumers are more knowledgeable,
and there are a few competitors since we have shops
with a full kitchen while most café only serve coffee,”
Suwat Kulpaijit, Operation Director of The Coffee Club
(Thailand), told us about the decision to bring the cof-
fee chain into Thailand.
