7 May 2015, Cafe Malaysia, MATRADE Exhibition & Convention Centre, Malaysia

The curators of Café Malaysia (CEMS), together with
the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association have recently
spearheaded an iniatitiave called the Café Owners Alliance
Malaysia. The alliance was formed to create better ties amongst
the increased number of Café Owners in Malaysia.
It’s main purpose is to create a platform for these entreprenuers to interact and network amongst its community.
Some of the other goals that the alliance addresses are to address key issues and challenges facing the Cafe Owners with
                   plausible solutions.
The alliance received good response from café owner’s with an encouraging registration of 92 members in less
than a month. With these numbers, the alliance hopes to see an increase in memberships as they progress towards
creating a healthier industry due to the growing competitive market in Malaysia.

                    Experience the Revolution with Slayer

11 May 2015, KDU University College, Malaysia

Beginning with an introduction to the machine, Brandon started off the morning with a detailed rundown on the
machine specifications and key features of the Slayer Espresso Machine and why it was built in it’s form. He explains
that the machine was built upon the basic lever machine and how the team at Slayer Espresso wanted to create machine
                    that could overcome pressure profiling.
With a brief explanation on the features, Brandon further explains that the slayer’s best feature is it’s controlled
and restricted flow rate, instead of the common pre-infusion feature we usually find in espresso machines these days.
The Slayer has 4 brew profiles that will allow baristas to easily control shot profiles from increasing viscocity and acidity
just by understanding the differences in flow-rate parameters. With a simple yet elegant design, Brandon added that
the machine was built for ease of access, allowing baristas to focus on what’s in front of them, instead of focusing on
the additional features of the other machines out there.
The Slayer is now available in Malaysia and is officially distributed by Coffex Coffee Malaysia. Brandon King is
also the Global Sales Manager for Slayer Espresso.
