Coffee & Art Fringe Festival Asia 2016
19-21 August 2016, Publika, Kuala Lumpur
CAFFA 2016 returned with an enormous reception
at it’s annual destination, Publika Shopping Gallery in Solaris
Dutamas on the 19th to 21st August 2016. A large turnout for
the consumer-based festival proved successful once again as the
festival turned the shopping gallery into a coffee, food & arts
playground for its 4th annual festival.
This year brings bigger and better plans for the event
organizers as they have expanded the festival to the southern
region of Malaysia, which will take place in Medini Mall, Johor
on the 12th and 13th November 2016.
The festival were supported by sponsors such as Nes-
cafe, Dankoff Coffee Specialists, Classic Coffee and even auto-
mobile partners, Volvo Malaysia. An approximate number of 20+
artisanal vendors participated in the festival, offering specialty
coffee, craft and also baked goods.
Debuting in the festival was local roasters such as Brew
& Bread, Sprezzatura and The Coffee Collective, which are now
taking the Malaysian specialty coffee roasting game to greater
heights. Others such as The Roast Things, Exhibit Asia, Three
Bears Dutch also showcased their products during the show.
Other highlights of the event involved an Aeropress &
Cores Throwdown co-organized by the Coffee Collective and Ex-
hibit Asia. Nescafe’s Forest of Dreams; an art initiative to recycle
used capsules, fund-raising for NASOM – The National Autism
Society of Malaysia and an Illy art exhibition at White Box.
