CHA TALK: Good Tea with No Threshold

A t the epilogue of mould rain, we visited the Zha XiaoWen CHA TALK, a tea lounge.

Along the royal street dating back to the Southern Song Dynasty, from north to
south, we walked in the tranquil world decorated by black shingles and white walls
till Dajing Lane, where the tea lounge showed up in the misty rain. The raindrops
danced above the rough cobble road, and scattered pearl chains upon the roof...Dipped in the
tonality of old Hangzhou, Dajing Lane still keeps the traces of fleeting time. With the laurel of
“Hangzhou Featured Pedestrian Street”, it is the ideal choice to situate CHA TALK. In tradi-
tional colors of black and white, with a blend of modern geometry, the design doesn’t even try
to hide the owner’s ingenuity of mixing tradition and modernity. Despite the unease caused by
the rainy journey, the small, warmly lit space soon soothed our heart.
