“ Concrete Coffee Machine as a

Solid Kitchen Highlight. ”

C oncrete, ideal for building homes and

roads but is it good enough for a centre
piece of your kitchen? Inspired by
coffee world’s rapid change over the
past few decades, San Francisco Bay Area design
studio Montaag set out on a process to create some-
thing new. As designers are passionate about coffee,
they asked themselves “What can they bring to the
table?”. The answer is new concrete masterpiece,
AnZa coffee machine.
Montaag is a multidisciplinary design studio with
offices in Berkeley, California and Oslo and Stavanger,
Norway. Their passionate and eclectic mix of designers
and researchers are driven to create unorthodox design
solutions — solutions that add value and distinction,
and ultimately sharpen the competitive edge.
