 A few months ago, I was presented with the intriguing task of writing an article explor-
 ing how tea has influenced specialty coffee, a subject that led me out of my comfort
 zone of primarily writing about coffee. It was an exciting opportunity to delve into the
 world of tea and learn more about its nuances and intricacies. As I delved deeper into
 my research, I discovered a term that kept resurfacing: “specialty tea.” This piqued my
 curiosity even further as I hadn’t stumbled upon this term before. What is specialty
 tea? Is it a new term or has it been around for a while and I just wasn’t aware? The
 more I researched the term, the more I started discovering that it was rather specialty
 coffee that inspired the conception of specialty tea and not the other way around.
