World Coffee Research released a poster celebrating key coffee varieties from around the world. The poster is available for free download on WCR’s website, including both digital and print-ready files for U.S. and European standard poster sizes.
The poster visually represents the lineage and relatedness of different coffee varieties included in the World Coffee Research Coffee Varieties Catalog, which profiles over 100 coffee varieties from the two species of coffee plants that are in wide cultivation globally—C. arabica (known as Arabica), and C. canephora (known as Robusta). The poster and catalog covers common varieties from 22 countries. The poster, like the catalog it’s based on, is meant to be a practical tool and guide for coffee producers, and it does not aim to represent an exhaustive list of all coffee varieties or species in existence.
The visualization was developed by design agency webDNA to accompany the re-design and re-launch of the World Coffee Research Coffee Varieties Catalog earlier this year.
The poster is free for anyone to download and print (print-ready versions for common US and European paper sizes are available) under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) International Public License.
