Ordna Event Agency and Nordic Coffee Fest are proud to present the competitors for the inaugural Nordics Best Roaster 2024. The twelve competing roasteries from the four Nordic countries are Tim Wendelboe (NO), Prolog Coffee (DK), Morgon Coffee Roasters (SE), The Coffee Collective (DK), Good Life Coffee (FI), Kaffibrugghusid (IS), Kaffa Oslo (NO), Drop Coffee (SE), Solberg & Hansen (NO), Kafferäven (SE) Standout Coffee (SE) and Gringo Nordic (SE).
Best Roaster is a brand new, peer-assessed, uncompromising challenge, focused on the real-world skills and expertise of the world’s best coffee roasters. More than that, it is a celebration of the hard work and dedication that goes into being one of the world’s best coffee roasters. The competition was developed by the people behind
The Barista League in collaboration with 2x Finnish Barista Champion Jarno Peräkylä.
Each roastery will compete with two coffees, one mandatory green coffee, and the other sourced by the roasters themselves. The Sourced coffee must comply with specific restrictions based on the continent of origin, process, and a price cap of 30 USD per kilogram.
The attendees of the Nordic Coffee Fest will be able to participate in the competition by sampling all of the competitive coffee and voting for their favourite in the Public Choice Award.
In a unique opportunity for the coffee competition world, the full set of the exact competition coffees will be available for purchase as a set via a collaboration with the coffee subscription service Kaffebox. Coffee lovers will be able to taste the exact coffee roasted by each roaster and judge for themselves who is the best coffee roaster in the Nordics.
The competition will take place as the flagship competition of the new Nordic Coffee Fest, happening in Gothenburg in February 2024 which will be the biggest coffee festival in the Nordics in years.
