La Marzocco – leader in espresso machine and coffee grinding innovation – has since 2014 been committed through its consumer facing division, La Marzocco Home, to providing exceptional experiences for the home baristas: all through professional equipment, education, interactive events around the globe.
Today, La Marzocco Home takes a worldwide leap to connect to the internet its product – a bundle of craft, design and service – for making uncompromised quality coffee, thus further engaging with the household espresso enthusiasts via an all new “La Marzocco Home” app to pair with the iconic kitchen-sized Linea Mini and GS3 machine.
The La Marzocco Home mobile application connects the home machine and the home barista in ways never before possible. When using the app, the phone becomes a new display for the machine making it easier and more intuitive to adjust parameters such as temperature and pre-brewing. This strategic project is a new milestone in the digital transformation roadmap undertaken by the company, thanks to the support of Cisco and Softec, leading companies in the IOT market and Customer Experience design. Internet of Things with the introduction of comprehensive, real-time data collection and fast analysis enables predictive machine maintenance and a next-level data driven coffee experience.
Thanks to the app, the smartphone can be used as a remote control for On/Off activations and weekly scheduling for the Linea Mini and the GS3. This way, both can be heated and ready, whenever, without wasting energy or time. The news section provides a window to explore the ever-evolving world of La Marzocco Home, to watch tutorials, read FAQs and learn how to brew the optimal cup of espresso.
“With the connected machine, we aim to bridge the gap between the maker, the factory, and the end-user, the community. The Home Barista becomes the protagonist, the digital artisan combining technology and craftsmanship with the actual act of brewing one’s favorite cup.” – states the CEO, Guido Bernardinelli.
*Retrofit Kits to connect existing La Marzocco Home machines are also available.
